Mission LOOP Arts has a simple mission: to provide artists with the equipment necessary to make work for a scheduled exhibition for free and simultaneously create a permanent collection of Bay Area Art. Description LOOP Arts will be starting a grant juried by a rotating outside juror(s) to award a San Francisco Bay Area artist with free access to the printer for a month to print for an exhibition. LOOP Arts is seeking funds to purchase an Epson 11880 large format inkjet printer. The reality we face is that large format printers are too expensive for most artists and commercial printing and rental options aren't much cheaper. We are looking to fill this gap in services. Funds we collect will also go towards rent and ink, amongst other things.
We were recently awarded an Alternative Exposure grant and are fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas. General Information We are: Adam Thorman and Ryan Hendon, two friends, photographers, working artists, educators, and studio-mates based in Oakland, CA, hoping to make life easier for our peers. | ||
